Renewing a Venafi Certificate

Certificates issued using Venafi as a PKI Provider cannot be automatically renewed. To renew a certificate issued from Venafi, you must manually redistribute the configuration profile associated with the certificate.

  1. Log in to Jamf Pro.

  2. In the top-right corner of the page, click Settings images/download/thumbnails/81939532/Icon_Settings_Hover.png .

  3. Click Global Management.

  4. Click PKI Certificates images/download/thumbnails/81939532/PKI.png .

  5. In the row for the Venafi certificates, click the number in the Expiring, Active, Inactive, or All column to view a list of the certificates.

  6. Click the certificate in the Certificate Subject column you want to renew.

  7. At the bottom of the page, click the configuration profile that is associated with the certificate.

  8. Click Edit images/download/thumbnails/81939532/edit.png .

    Note: You do not need to make any changes to the configuration profile.

  9. Click Save images/download/thumbnails/81939532/floppy-disk.png .

  10. On the Redistribution Options pane, click Distribute to All.

The configuration profile is redistributed to the computers or mobile devices that are in scope the next time they check in to Jamf Pro.
