Inviting Students to a Remote Class

If your school enables this feature, you can use Remote Class to invite students to a video meeting.

This feature may not be supported on your Teacher app depending on the software your school uses to manage devices and the settings your school has configured.

Configuring Your Default Remote Class

  1. In the video conferencing software you want to use, copy the meeting invite link URL.

    This meeting invite link will be the default link.

  2. In Jamf Teacher, navigate to Settings in the top right corner.
  3. Tap Configure and enter the meeting invite URL you copied from the video conferencing software in the Invite Link field, and then tap Save.
  4. Tap Done.

Starting a Remote Class

  1. In Jamf Teacher, navigate to a class or student in a class and tap Remote Class.
  2. Enter a name for the meeting in the Meeting Name field.
  3. Tap Remove invite access after to configure when to remove students' access to the meeting invite link.
  4. Ensure the link in the Invite Link field is correct or enter a different meeting invite URL.
  5. Tap Start.
The video meeting will automatically start. Students will receive a notification that they can tap to join the meeting. The meeting invitation will expire after the configured amount of time passes.
