Apple TV Profile
Distributing a profile to an Apple TV allows you to configure settings on the Apple TV remotely using Jamf School. This workflow describes how to configure the following settings:

Restricted apps and functionality

Configuring Apple TV Profiles
- In Jamf School, navigate to Profiles in the sidebar.
- Click + Create Profile.
- Select tvOS for the platform.
- Enter a name in the Profile name field and configure the additional settings as needed, including the removal policy and time filter.
- Click Finish.
- Use the Scope payload to select the device groups you want to distribute the profile to. The profile is distributed to Apple TV devices in the scope automatically.
- Click the Settings
icon, and choose .
- Use the Restrictions payload to configure the restricted functionality and media content.
- (Optional) To lock the Apple TV in a single app, use the Single App Mode payload to configure the settings.
- (Optional) To use Apple TV as a conference room display so users can share their screen from a Mac, iOS device, or iPadOS device using AirPlay, use the Conference Room Display payload to configure the display message. When Conference Room Display is turned on, a message appears on the display with AirPlay connection instructions and wireless network details.
- Use the Safelist and Blocklist payload to configure the allowed and restricted apps and categories.
- Use the Layout payload to configure how apps display on the Apple TV home screen.
- Configure the other payload settings as needed.
- Click Save.
