AirPrint
AirPrint is an Apple technology that helps you create full-quality printed output without the need to download or install drivers. You can use a profile in Jamf School to configure AirPrint for computers.
Configuring an AirPrint Profile
Requirements
To configure AirPrint, you need a printer that supports AirPrint. For more information, see the About AirPrint article from Apple's support website.
- In Jamf School, navigate to Profiles in the sidebar.
- Click + Create Profile.
- Select macOS for the Platform.
- Select the type of enrollment you want to make the profile for.
- Enter a name in the Profile name field and configure the additional settings as needed, including the removal policy and time filter.
- Click Finish.
- Use the Scope payload to configure the scope of the profile by clicking the + icon and adding a computer device group to the profile scope.
- Use the AirPrint payload to configure the settings, including the IP address, port, and resource path.
- (Optional) To enable Transport Layer Security (TLS), select the Force TLS checkbox.
- (Optional) To add another printer, click Add AirPrint printer and configure the settings.
- Click Save.
