  1. Log in to Jamf School.

  2. Click Dashboard in the sidebar.

  3. Navigate to the Synchronization status item, and then click Synchronize Now.

All app, book, class, user, and device changes are synchronized.

Integrating with Apple Classroom

You can integrate Apple Classroom with Jamf School to help teachers guide learning, share work, and manage student devices. For more information on how to configure Apple Classroom, see Using Jamf School to Configure the Classroom App.

Integrating with the Jamf School Apps

The Jamf School apps allow teachers, students, and parents to manage their classroom, student devices, and device restrictions. The following apps can be downloaded from the App Store:

  • Jamf School Teacher—Allows teachers to manage their students' school-issued devices. Using the app, teachers can restrict which apps students can access on their devices, create Lessons that allow or restrict certain apps and websites, answer students' questions with Messages, and use Weblock to ensure students can only visit teacher-approved websites. Jamf School Teacher can also be used in conjunction with Apple Classroom. For more information, see Jamf School Teacher App Overview and How to Configure Jamf School Teacher Using Jamf School Management System.

  • Jamf School Student—Allows students to install pre-approved apps, books, and documents on their devices and ask their teachers questions with Messages. Using the app, students can also perform simple management tasks like update apps and iOS. For more information, see Jamf School Student App Self Service Overview.

  • Jamf School Parent—Allows parents to manage their children's school-issued devices. Using the app, they can restrict which apps can be accessed on the child's device, receive notifications when their child arrives at school, and schedule homework time or bedtime by using a Recipe to allow or restrict certain apps.
