Jamf School collects inventory information from computers and mobile devices when they check-in to Jamf School. By default, devices check in every two hours. Devices also check in during the following events:
A quick action command is sent to the device.
An app, document, or package is installed on the device.
An administrator manually clicks Refresh in the device inventory information.
When a device checks in, inventory information such as the location, installed apps, managed apps, and OS updates is updated in the device's inventory information. For more information about the inventory information collected during a device check-in, see Device Inventory Information Reference.
