Automatically Updating iOS

You can use Jamf School to control how and when iOS updates are applied. Update support and requirements depend on the iOS version of the device. On devices with iOS 10.3 or later, you can update all supervised devices, including those with a passcode, using Jamf School and devices not enrolled using Automated Device Enrollment (formerly DEP) are prompted to accept Terms and Conditions. On devices with iOS 9-10.2, only devices enrolled via Automated Device Enrollment can be updated using Jamf School.

Note: Jamf School prompts to automatically clear a device passcode when present at the time of sending an update command to the device.
