Assigning Perpetual Licenses to Devices

A perpetual license is a license you can buy for a single device in Jamf School. This license is tied to a serial number, it cannot be transferred, and it is valid as long as the device is managed by Jamf School. It is recommended that you assign a license to a device before or immediately after enrolling the device. For more information on how to enroll devices, see Enrollment Methods.

You can assign licenses via an Automated Device Enrollment profile (DEP profile) or manually.

Note: It is recommend that you only assign perpetual licenses to new devices.
