Blueprint App Removal Update

You can now easily remove apps from Blueprints when they are no longer available in the App Store. This will not remove an app from devices it has been deployed to.

The Jamf Fundamentals Plan and Jamf Application Integrations

The Jamf Fundamentals plan (formerly Plus plan) is ideal for growing small and medium sized businesses that need to deliver more power with entry-level Apple Enterprise Management. The Jamf Fundamentals plan extends beyond the mobile device management (MDM) framework, with unique capabilities for protecting, connecting, and empowering your organization.

The Jamf Fundamentals plan offers all of the MDM management capabilities of the Jamf Now plan (formerly Standard plan), and additional features including Jamf application integrations.

Use Malware Prevention on macOS to detect, block, and quarantine malicious processes. For more information on Malware Prevention, see Malware Prevention via Jamf Protect Integration.

Enable password syncing on Mac to ensure passwords in your deployment meet your organization's security standards and to sync passwords with a user's identity. For more information on password syncing, see Password Syncing via Jamf Connect Integration.

Deploy apps with Jamf Self Service for macOS to allow users to browse and choose which Mac App Store apps and custom apps they install on their computer. For more information on Self Service, see Deploying an App to All Devices in a Blueprint.

Preview Feature: Malware Prevention via Jamf Protect Integration

You can now enable Malware Prevention on macOS to detect, block, and quarantine malicious processes by deploying Jamf Protect. To use this feature, you need to be on the Jamf Now Plus plan.

To enable Jamf Protect, navigate to Blueprints > Security.

Preview Feature: Jamf Self Service for macOS Integration

You can now make Mac App Store apps and custom ("third-party" or "in-house") apps available on computers by installing Jamf Self Service for macOS.

Self Service allows users to browse and choose which apps they install on their computer. You can also add a description for custom apps to display in Self Service.

To deploy apps using Self Service, you must be on the Jamf Now Plus plan, and deploying apps to computers with macOS 10.13 or later. The status of Self Service on a device displays on the Device dashboard.

Preview Feature: Jamf Connect Deployment

You can now enable Jamf Connect on Mac with Jamf Now's feature preview to sync passwords with a user's identity. To use this feature, you need to be on the Jamf Now Plus plan.

To enable Jamf Connect, navigate to Blueprints > Security.

Note:

For this preview, end users must manually launch Jamf Connect to enable password synchronization. Automatic launching of Jamf Connect will be available in the future.

App Workflow Enhancements

We have made improvements to how you search for and add apps to Blueprints.

  • You can now filter for iPad only apps and custom (in-house) apps. The Jamf Now Plus plan is required to deploy custom or in-house apps.

  • You can now sort apps alphabetically by app name, seller, or platform for easier app searching.

  • You can quickly add multiple apps by using the Install All Apps Automatically checkbox to install all available apps, or the Install All Filtered Apps Automatically checkbox to install all filtered apps.

  • You can now remove an app that is in Single App Mode directly from a Blueprint.

Resolved Issues

  • Fixed an issue that prevented custom apps from displaying that they were in Single App Mode when viewing the app in Jamf Now.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the enrollment of a device in to a Blueprint using Open Enrollment when email was configured in the Blueprint, and the email address for the device included a "+" modifier.
