Jamf Now Service Plans

Jamf Now offers two convenient service plans: Jamf Now Standard and Jamf Now Plus.

Jamf Now Standard
To provide a streamlined experience for Jamf Now customers, the Standard plan was developed.
Jamf Now Standard contains all basic mobile device management (MDM) functionality like device management, bulk app deployment, and security settings.
Note:

Jamf Now cannot configure VPN settings on deployed devices on the Jamf Now Standard plan, you must can configure these settings with the Custom Profiles feature on the Jamf Now Plus plan

Jamf Now Standard plan is free for the first three devices, and $2.00/device/month for additional devices. There is no feature difference other than the three-device limit for free Jamf Now accounts.

Jamf Now Plus
To empower more advanced users with new ways to manage Apple devices in their organization, Jamf Now Plus includes all the features of Jamf Now Standard along with the following additional features:
  • Deploy custom iPad and iPhone apps

  • Deploy custom Mac packages

  • Deploy custom configuration profiles

  • Access to Composer, our packaging tool

  • Priority support escalation

Jamf Now Plus is a powerful solution for organizations that rely on custom iPad and iPhone apps or need to deploy major Mac software titles that are not available in the App Store like Adobe Creative Suite or Google Chrome.

Jamf Now Plus plan is $4.00/device/month.

Note:

Jamf Now does not currently have a public API.

Changing Your Service Plan

When you upgrade from Standard to Plus:
  • Custom iPad and iPhone app (.ipa) deployment is available on your account.

  • You have access to Composer, our proprietary packaging tool.

  • Mac package (.pkg) deployment is available on your account.

  • You can deploy Custom Profiles via Blueprints.

  • Support is escalated, including an optional phone line for support calls.

  • Billing changes from $2.00/device/month to $4.00/device/month.

When you switch from Plus to Standard:
  • All custom iPad and iPhone apps are uninstalled from your managed devices.

  • All custom iPad and iPhone apps are deleted from your Jamf Now account.

  • All custom Mac packages are deleted from your Jamf Now account.

  • You no longer have access to Composer included with your Jamf Now service plan. However, you can purchase Composer for a one-time fee of $99.00.

  • All Custom Profiles are deleted from your Jamf Now account.

  1. To upgrade your account:
    1. Log in to Jamf Now.
    2. Click the account name in the bottom left, and select Account.
    3. Click Upgrade to Plus in the Plan section.
  2. To downgrade your account:
    Important: Everything not included in Jamf Now Standard will be deleted immediately when you downgrade from Jamf Now Plus. If you upgrade again in the future, you will need to upload your custom apps and packages again.
    1. Log in to Jamf Now.
    2. Click the account name in the bottom left, and select Account.
    3. Click Switch to Standard in the Plan section.
    4. Select the checkbox to confirm you want to switch plans.
    5. Click Change Plan.
Upgrading or downgrading is an account-wide change and takes effect immediately.

Viewing the Current Number of Devices

  1. Log in to Jamf Now.
  2. Click the account name in the bottom-left of the screen and select "Account".
  3. Under the Summary tab, navigate to the Next Bill section. On the Estimated bill amount line, click view details.
A dialog box will appear listing your Jamf Now account device details.
