Enrolling an iPad or iPhone Without Using Open Enrollment


Ensure the device does not have a Management profile already installed. Navigate to Settings > General to check for an installed Management profile. If one already exists, you must delete the profile before enrolling.

  1. Log in to your Jamf Now account.
  2. Navigate to Devices.
  3. Click Enroll This Device (+).
  4. Enter a name, select a Blueprint, and enter an email address (if required) in the pop-up window.
  5. Click Download Configuration Profile.
  6. Click Install in the pop-up window.
  7. Enter the device passcode to continue.
  8. A warning window will show. This warning window is letting you know you are about to install a profile to manage your device. To continue, click Install.

    Installing a Management profile while one is already installed on a device will result in a failed enrollment. If that happens, contact Jamf Support for assistance.
