Uninstalling the Login Window
- Reset the authentication database by executing the following command with the authchanger: sudo /usr/local/bin/authchanger -resetImportant: If you do not reset the authentication database before deleting Jamf Connect login window files, users will be unable to log in.
- Remove the following files installed with Jamf Connect by executing the following commands:
sudo rm /usr/local/bin/authchanger sudo rm /usr/local/lib/pam/pam_saml.so.2 sudo rm -r /Library/Security/SecurityAgentPlugins/JamfConnectLogin.bundle
- Do one of the following to remove the com.jamf.connect.login.plist file from computers:
Remove computers from the Jamf Connect login window configuration profile scope in your MDM solution.
Manually delete the preference file on computers.
Uninstalling the Menu Bar App
- Do one of the following to delete the Jamf Connect menu bar app:
Remove computers from the scope of the policy that installs Jamf Connect.
Manually move Jamf Connect from /Applicatons to the Trash.
- Do one of the following to remove the com.jamf.connect.plist file from computers:
Remove computers from the configuration profile scope in your MDM solution.
Manually delete the preference file on computers.
- Remove the Jamf Connect launch agent from /Library/LaunchAgents.Note:
When you install Jamf Connect 2.0.0 or later on computers, the installer package will automatically remove any previously installed versions of Jamf Connect Sync or Jamf Connect Verify from computers.
