Integrating with PingFederate

Jamf Connect provides support for PingFederate. Integrating PingFederate with Jamf Connect involves the following steps:

  1. Add Jamf Connect Login as as a new client app in PingFederate.

  2. Create users and assign Roles.

  3. Deploy Jamf Connect Login.

Step 1: Adding Jamf Connect Login as an app in PingFederate

Complete the following steps to integrate Jamf Connect with PingFederate.

  1. Log in to the PingFederate administrative console.

  2. In the Main menu, click OAuthServer.

  3. Under Clients, click Create New.

  4. Complete the following fields:

    1. Client ID—This is a unique identifier known by PingFederate and Jamf Connect Login. You can specify any value.

      Note: This value will be used with the OIDCClientID key when configuring Jamf Connect Login preferences.

    2. Name—Enter "Jamf Connect" or something similar.

    3. Client Authorization—Select None.

    4. Redirection URIs—Enter a valid URI, such as "".

  5. Click Save.

Step 2: Creating Users and Assigning Roles

Once Jamf Connect Login is added as a client in PingFederate, you can create users and roles for Jamf Connect Login as needed. You can then assign Jamf Connect Login to roles and the users associated with the role:

Step 3: Configuring and Deploying Jamf Connect

Jamf Connect is deployed with a package installer, similar to other apps installed on macOS.
