Uninstalling an Instance
Uninstalling a Jamf Infrastructure Manager instance involves the following steps:
-
Removing artifacts from the hosting server
-
Disabling the proxy server from the LDAP server configuration in Jamf Pro.
Jamf recommends uninstalling Infrastructure Manager from the hosting server in the following scenarios to avoid re-enrollment and incorrect inventory reporting issues:
Upgrading the hosting server that requires a new Infrastructure Manager instance installation (e.g., upgrading Windows Server 2012 R2 to Windows Server 2019)
Upgrading Java on the hosting server
Failed communication between Jamf Pro and Infrastructure Manager components due to unidentified issues
Important:
Jamf recommends uninstalling Infrastructure Manager from the hosting server before you remove it from Jamf Pro.
