Configuring Wi-Fi for iOS Devices
This workflow details the best practices for deploying Wi-Fi configurations for iOS using a mobile device configuration profile. Configuration profiles are XML files (.mobileconfig) that provide an easy way to define settings and restrictions for iOS devices. It is recommended that you create a configuration profile that allows devices to automatically join the wireless network. If you are using certificates to authenticate to the network, the respective Certificate or Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol (SCEP) payloads must be configured in the same profile before configuring the WI-FI payload. You can then specify the devices and users to which the profile should be applied (called "scope").
