Jamf Pro Server: Security Issues

Jamf provides the CVE-ID for security issues with high or critical severity when possible.

  • [PI-010403] This release fixes a security vulnerability with Jamf Pro. The Jamf Pro installers have been updated to include Apache Log4j 2 version 2.15.0, which remediated the vulnerability (CVE-2021-44228). This bug fix is also included in Jamf Pro 10.34.1 or later.

  • [PI-010408] This release fixes a security vulnerability with Jamf Pro. The Jamf Pro installers have been updated to include Apache Log4j 2 version 2.16.0, which remediated a log4j vulnerability (CVE-2021-45046). This bug fix is also included in Jamf Pro 10.34.2 or later.

  • [PI-010417] This release fixes a security vulnerability with Jamf Pro. The Jamf Pro installers have been updated to include Apache Log4j 2 version 2.17.0, which remediated the vulnerability (CVE-2021-45105).

Jamf Pro Server

  • [PI-005130] Jamf Pro no longer writes duplicate records to the database that cause incorrect patch reporting and patch policy data on rare occasions when using the MyISAM database engine.

  • [PI-006005] The Download and Install Updates remote command no longer fails to run on computers with macOS 10.13 or later.

  • [PI-006078] Continuous email notifications about app removals from the App Store are no longer sent from Jamf Pro.

  • [PI-009827] The Volume Assignments page now loads when a scoped user group is deleted.

  • [PI-010304] Users can now use files on the disk of a MacBook Pro (2021) computer with macOS 12 when the Recovery Lock password is set during the PreStage enrollment.

  • [PI-010356] Unexpected "exception" log entries that displayed in the Jamf Pro server logs when distributing macOS apps using the InstallApplication command are removed.

Jamf Self Service for macOS

  • [PI-010358] Fixed an issue where Jamf Self Service for macOS notifications badge will randomly duplicate itself to another header or category.

  • [PI-010361] Fixed an issue where free macOS App Store applications fail to open in the App Store for download when deploying from Jamf Self Service for macOS.
