Categories

Categories are organizational components that allow you to group policies, packages, scripts, and printers in Casper Admin and the Jamf Software Server (JSS). You can also use categories to group policies, configuration profiles, apps, and eBooks in Self Service. This makes these items easier to locate.

You can add categories to Casper Admin or the JSS. When you add, edit, or delete a category in Casper Admin, the changes are reflected in the JSS and vice versa.

After you add a category to Casper Admin or the JSS, you can add items to the category when configuring them in Casper Admin or the JSS.
